School Chorus Repeats At Waring's Music Workshop
Hershey High School Chorus was invited as guest chorus by Fred Waring for the annual Music Educators Workshop at Shawnee-on-the-Delaware. Under choral director Dr. W. Paul Campbell they performed a one o clock preliminary concert and demonstrations. Many members had previously appeared with Waring, and some helped in Eisenhower birthday celebrations in Hershey in 1953.

Hershey native John M. Rudy retires after 49 years
John M. Rudy, a Hershey native, retires July 1 after nearly forty nine years with the Hershey Chocolate Corporation. He ends a long career in the Printing Department where he served as foreman and worked under three bosses. His son Elmer Rudy works in the same department in Palmyra, while another son John H. Rudy has spent four years in France as a missionary. The Rudys live at 21 South Harrison Street in Palmyra and family ties include daughter Mrs. Andrew Gecelesky and six grandchildren.

Jerry W. Stroh a Hershey Estates employee for twelve and a half years retired at month’s start. He served in the Extraction Plant and previously worked at the Hershey Chocolate Corporation and H K Smith quarries. He lives in Palmyra with four daughters and was a Sunday School teacher at Palmyra United Christian Church.
