Annual Elections At Hershey Trust Company

Mr. P. A. Staples announced the re election of directors at the stockholders meeting held January 5. The board includes T. R. Banks J. E. Bobb William H. Earnest J. J. Gallagher P. N. Hershey Samuel F. Hinkle J. B. Sollen berger P. A. Staples A. R. Whiteman D. Paul Witmer and Charles F. Ziegler. The first 1956 board meeting January 12 re elected Staples president Witmer vice president Whiteman secretary treasurer and Joseph S. Gumpher assistant secretary treasurer. Directors also serve as managers for Milton Hershey School and the M. S. Hershey Foundation which supports education in Derry Township and Hershey Junior College.

Hershey Forms Local Civil Air Patrol Squadron

Aviation-minded Hershey starts its own civilian air unit as ten senior CAP members in Hershey form the nucleus of a local squadron. Charles Hershberger serves as temporary commander pending a headquarters setup at Hershey Air Park with base operations run by Harry Williamson.

Junior College Chorus to Perform at Spring Music Festival May 7

Forty eight singing students in the Jr. College Chorus will perform at the Hershey Community Theatre for the Spring Music Festival on Monday May 7. The group will present Veterans Day observances and seasonal concerts with ensembles and the full chorus, continuing a tradition shared with the Senior High School.

Mothers to March on Polio Drive in Hershey

VFW Mothers plan a polio fund drive march next Tuesday at 7 p m led by the Hershey Memorial Post auxiliary with community help. Lighted porch lamps will guide participants as Larry Wallace serves as general chairman. Previously, Blue Crutches were sold and collection boxes placed to support the campaign.

Derry Church Plans Mortgage Burning Ceremony

The Rev. William Sheldon Blair announced a mortgage burning ceremony and recognition dinner at 6 30 p m on Thursday February 2 at Derry Presbyterian Church. Guest speaker will be Rev. William C Young III Rotary Fellow from Cardiff Maryland.
