A Millers home on Fishburn Road won the top prize for Christmas display favoring complete coverage of the theme. The judges noted originality and finesse in execution of meludine' Music across the decorated residence.
Richard T. Yingling, 1230 West Cherry Street, Palmdale, named Citizen Of The Year by the Hershey Lions Club at a dinner in the Community Dining Room. Yingling, physical director of the Community Club's Men’s Division, active in youth sports, Red Cross water safety instructor, and WWII Navy veteran, has lived in Hershey since 1937 with wife Mildred and children Terry Susie and Jack.
Ninety well wishers visited the home of Mr and Mrs Charles Lebo at 145 West Arena Avenue last Saturday for an open house honoring their fiftieth wedding anniversary. They were married by the late Rev L O Weist in Lower Paxton Township. Both formerly worked at Hershey Estates with Mr Lebo later retiring from the Hershey Chocolate Corporation. They are members of the Evangelical United Brethren Church. Mrs Lebo has twice served as president of the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class and the Hershey Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Theodore F. Miller of 754 Fishburn Road won the fifty dollar grand prize in Hershey Rotary Club s home Christmas decoration contest. Judges cited originality of design execution and full coverage including Christmas music. Miller is a Hershey Chocolate Corporation millwright. The 1955 prize list shows Best Window or Display first Robert W. Smith second I J Jeffries third Meade Sylvester with prizes 20 10 5. Honorable mention names follow.
