Electric truck operator Ionni marks 25 years at Hershey
Antonio Ionni, an electric truck operator at the Hershey Chocolate plant, has handled incoming sugars since 1930. A 1922 immigrant from Italy, he rose from manual labor to electric trucks as packaging sizes shrank. he lives with wife Mary Tancredi at 231 West Caracas Avenue with two sons and a daughter, Rita. Retired Hershey mechanic led early sugar mill work
Harry E. Seibert of 107 Trinidad Avenue retired from the Hershey Chocolate Corporation after about thirty two years as a maintenance mechanic. He was chosen to operate Hershey's first experimental sugar mill and suggested changes that aided its success. A Dauphin County native, he worked at Hershey since 1909 with earlier farming and stock breeding stints. He married Esther Nye in 1910. they have one daughter, seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Milton Hershey School Hero Receives Good Citizenship Award
Milton Hershey School senior Terrance Murphy earned the Optimist Club Good Citizenship Award for rescuing two younger MH S students from Swatara Creek on December 18. He entered the icy water with a rope to pull the seventh graders to safety near the Sand Beach covered bridge. George Freeland presented the award at a Community Dining Room dinner.
