All Saints Episcopal Mission Wins Approval for Hershey Church
The Hershey congregation of All Saints Episcopal Mission voted unanimously to build a church with construction set to begin in the spring. Bishop John Thomas Heistand announced the plan and reappointed the vestry, praising the group’s long effort to secure a dedicated house of worship.

Mothers March Garners 784 For Polio Drive
Hershey community raised 784 dollars in a porch-light Mothers Brigade campaign as part of the March of Dimes polio drive. A 424 dollar three-night collection in Hershey Community Theatre by the American Legion Auxiliary also aided the fund. Totals for Derry Township are being totaled from boxes and mail donations.

February Heart Drive Opens in Derry Township
The 1955 heart disease campaign starts in Derry Township with February fundraising for research and education. Volunteers led by Mrs. Lloyd Blinco and Robert M. Bucher head the effort as part of the Tri-County Heart Drive aiming for $35,000. last year’s Heart Fund total was $1,136.48.

Eleven Norways Transplanted In Hershey Estates Drive
Eleven Norway spruce trees up to forty feet tall were moved last week by the Hershey Estates Greenhouse and Gardens Department. Crews used picks shovels winches and hydraulic jacks to relocate the towering trees from the hill behind Hotel Hershey to new locations in the estate grounds.
