Agriculture World Series Opens After Lengthy Task
The 16th National Plowing Contest and Conservation Exhibition opened in Hershey with a two acre spring fed pond and a tent city near Hershey Stadium. The 2,500 acre event centers on farm equipment conservation and exhibits with extensive construction including power lines 23 miles of wire and drainage systems. Deputy Secretary Leland H. Bull led the planning committee.

Plans for Hershey 22nd Annual Baby Parade Announced
Hershey Park manager George W. Bartels announced the 22nd Annual Baby Parade to be held Saturday afternoon August 30 at 2 pm in Hershey Sports Arena. Children under five may participate with no advance registration. Judges will award a gold trophy and merchandise prizes for various categories.
