Hershey Fire Co order for custom pumper truck near

Fire company officials signed to acquire a custom built pumper from the Oren Roanoke Corp at 19448.20 dollars. The apparatus features a 1000 gallon booster tank, multiple hose lines, 300 horsepower air force developed engine, and a three pump system adding to the Mack and International units already in service. A portable pump for grass fires and a full lighting and exhaust system enhance operational versatility.

Memorial Field Hosts Another Successful Playground Season

As the 1955 summer winds down Memorial Field continues supervised play through August 18 under John Hanshue and assistant Mrs. Raymond Evans. Edward J. Tylden runs arts and crafts with a pupil exhibit last Thursday. The field hosted baseball softball games doll hat puppet shows a bicycle parade and various gatherings for families and groups.

State Police Exhibit Traces Transportation History at Hershey

The 50th Anniversary Celebration previews modern transportation with fifty horses, ninety troopers, and a dozen dogs at Hershey Stadium on Friday August 19 at 2 30 p m. Major Thomas F Martin says admission is free and the program aims to entertain the young while welcoming adults featuring serpentine rides, dressage, liberty horses, motorcycle drills, aerial shooting, rope spinning and a musical ride.
