Officers Elected for Hershey Ambulance Corps Here

Charles E. Muench was elected president at the first organizational meeting. J. W. Dressler is vice president with Mildred Claelow as recording secretary and John W. Steen as treasurer secretary. Directors include Charles Brinser Dr J W Abrams and Paul Seavers. May 1 activation planned with gifts to Speicher and Sgt. Wrona for ambulance fund work.

Easter Sunrise Service in Hershey Rose Garden

About 1000 people attended the Easter Sunrise service in the Hershey Rose Garden led by the Ministerial Association. Rev. Thomas W. Gunnivan delivered the Easter Dawn meditation, Rev. J. R. McDonald offered prayer, and Rev. Stephen I. Schullery read the Scripture. W. Lyndon Hess gave the invocation, and Rev. William Sheldon Blair offered the benediction as the Hershey High School chorus and brass ensemble provided music.

Mrs Harold Brewer Heads Girl Scout Neighborhood Association

Mrs Harold Brewer was elected chairman of the Hershey Girl Scout Neighborhood Association at a recent meeting. Other officers include vice chairwoman Mrs Louis Smith and secretaries. Registration for all scouts and leaders is set for May 1. Memorial Day Parade committee is chaired by Mrs Louis Smith. Camperships were awarded to a list of girls. The Hershey Hummelstown Day Camp reunion is May 15 at Bullfrog Valley, with staff training on April 22 and May 26 at the camp site.

Ray Koch Accepts Post As Columbia School Chief

Raymond H. Koch, longtime superintendent of Derry Township Schools and Hershey Schools leader, was elected superintendent of Columbia Pennsylvania schools and will start July 5. A Palmyra High School graduate, he has chaired local committees and served as Rotary and church leader with ties to Lebanon County. His wife is Emma R. Meyer of Annville.

New England Students Tour Hershey Weeklong Exchange

Thirty students from Newton Massachusetts visit Hershey for Newton Week with the Hershey High School Exchange Club. They tour the Capitol in Harrisburg Bethlehem Steel in Steelton and attend a Hershey Band concert as part of their schedule.
