Citrus farm aid bill could be sunk by veto threat

Senate Appropriations approved the aid, but Bush tied opposition to the Iraq measure. Farmers in the Central Valley, including Tulare County farmer David Roberts, fear delays cost jobs. California Citrus Mutual and lawmakers stress the aid remains vital for workers and growers.
