Gemischter Chor Harmonie elects new officers for 2007

The Gemischter Chor Harmonie names two new officers for 2007 Jimmie Skaggs of Cibolo and California as treasurer Ghislaine Kruse from New Braunfels Netherlands as secretary. Existing leaders Erna Dietert and Bill Moltz continue as president and vice president. A Texanischer Gebirgs Saengerbund regional Saengerfest is planned for Sept 22 2007 in New Braunfels to mark the chor’s 70th anniversary. William Kretzmeier invites new members while Helen Fesler serves as pianist since 2002 contact Roy Knippa at 6295942.

Ben Sweet leads at SV FFA Chapter Show in New Braunfels

Spring Branch Middle eighth grader Ben Sweet, a junior Smithson Valley FFA member, shows at the SV FFA Chapter Show held at the New Braunfels Fairgrounds in January. The event, aimed at preparing for this year’s show schedule including the Coma County show, distributed more than 70 prizes and awards donated by local businesses.
