LCRA Fayette 4 funds in rate hike debate at PUC
Hearings opened in Austin as LCRA seeks a 35 million rate rise with contention over funds for Fayette 4. Wholesale customers argue Fayette 4 costs lack board authorization and PUC certification. LCRA officials push broader financing for Fayette 3 and future plants, while intervenors from Lampasas to Kerrville seek limits and cushions against fuel shocks. The three week hearing will feed a written examiners’ recommendation to the PUC.
