Canyon Lake reports clear water with temperatures around 60 and depth readings around 902.61. Anglers found fair to four pound bass on white bladed Revenge spinners and shad crankbaits near staging areas 10 to 15 feet deep, upriver lures including white chartreuse and gold blade spinners and Texas rigged shad four inch Yamamoto Senkos 8 to 12 feet near timber. Bait options include orange crush spinners, Gonzo Grub, and ZOOM Super Speed Craw 5 to 15 feet on rock piles and ledges. Trolling white Bomber A lures at the river mouth and split shotting minnows upriver to the rapids yielded very good results, while white Curbs crappie jigs with minnows fished near brush and submerged trees produced good catches 8 to 16 feet deep. Channel and other catfish were fair on shad baits, gizzards, trotlines, and comets 10 to 30 feet deep.
