Diesel spill near Krueger Canyon soils Edwards Aquifer area
Officials said it was too soon to confirm if more than 2,600 gallons of diesel spilled over the Edwards Aquifer recharge zone near Krueger Canyon will contaminate local water supplies. No indication the water has been affected yet. The leak, from an above ground 10,000-gallon tank owned by Dino Nobel, likely occurred Friday when a connector was damaged during concrete work. The spill covers about 2,000 square feet of topsoil near Comal Springs, and investigators are tracing migration.
