County crews press on with ice rock spread on freezing roads
Comal County road department crews, including Velasquez, worked through the night to treat icy highways after a cold snap. They faced ice across Texas 46 and FEM 3009, with 10 to 15 vehicles sliding off the road as temperature remained below freezing. The work, led by Tom Hornseth, will continue through Wednesday as temperatures rise above freezing and more ice rock is deployed.
