Oliver Haas longtime Edwards water advocate dies at 72
Oliver O Haas, noted Edwards water advocate and former Comal Power Plant supervisor, died at 3 59 am at McKenna Memorial Hospital two weeks before his 73rd birthday. He served eight years on the EUWD board and 40 years at the Comal Power Plant in Landa Park. He was born January 19 1912 in Edwards and married Wallie Engler Haas in 1936. Funeral services set for 10 am Monday at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home with burial in Comal Cemetery. Survivors include his wife two daughters a son a sister a brother five grandchildren and one great grandchild Memorials to charity.

County approves full time and reserve deputies list
