Brush fire roars near Oak Valley Estates in Comal County
A 700 acre grass fire raged Monday afternoon near Oak Valley Estates in northeast Comal County. Nine fire departments fought the blaze as winds up to 30 mph hampered containment, with evacuations for nine families and no structures damaged. Investigators cited possible unauthorized burning amid a drought and outdoor burn ban.
