Area Lake Claims Man's Life
A 34 year old Lincoln County man, Frank Matthew Martin of Tomahawk, drowned while fishing with friends at Becker's Lake in Calumet County near Brillion. Coroner LeRoy Hughes ruled accidental drowning after Martin entered the water to untangle a snagged bobber and disappeared in about 20 feet of water. Rescue crews recovered the body around 11:15 p.m. after being alerted at 9:45 p.m. Joyce Son Dies. Giorgio Joyce, aged 70 and only son of writer James Joyce, died in a clinic near Konstanz, West Germany, on Saturday.
