Wisconsin veterans panel blocks emergency board meeting

Beverly Hills Club fire blamed on short circuit

An Atlanta based three man investigation team concluded the Beverly Hills Supper Club fire in Southgate Kentucky was caused by a short circuit in a decorative water fountain pump. The pump cord chafed at an unprotected metal frame hole and the blaze burned for over an hour before discovery.

Second burglary charged in same shop case

A 26 year old Sheboygan County man facing June 2 sentencing for the May 21 Baum's Gun Shop burglary at Two Rivers appeared in Manitowoc County Court. Branch 2 deferred sentencing and ordered a pre sentence investigation after Karl Alban Kinthyll of Plymouth pleaded guilty to the same May 21 burglary.

Body of Racine woman found in Lake Michigan near Waukegan

The body of Betty Foote of Racine Wisconsin was found in Lake Midwan about five miles east of the Waukegan harbor. Coroner Robert Babcock ruled drowning as the cause with no sign of foul play. In Wisconsin MATHSON an agency code proposed for Health and Local Services employees would create a new administrative order. if approved, the code would take effect July 1.
