A power outage cut electricity for much of the afternoon as anti-Communist violence surged in Leiria where the Communist party HQ was attacked. at least one dead and three wounded. The council called for disbanding a Communist propaganda arm and restoring a pro-Goncalves commander, with another meeting planned next week.
