Dry Land Alfalfa Seed Trial Findings
Mr. T. C. Taylor sold about 1800 pounds of dry land alfalfa seed in five to twenty pound lots to growers from Heppner to Walla Walla. Seed sown across upland semi arid areas showed vigorous growth in its first season. Taylor notes the strain is acclimated to hazardous soil and moisture, potentially more hardy than seed from moister lands.
