Foot and Mouth Disease Spreads in Illinois
Illinois places La Salle Bureau and Putnam counties under closed quarantine for foot and mouth disease effective Sept 21 1915 after two La Salle County herds were found infected. Barrett A Blauvelt Dies at Home in Wyoming
Barrett A Blauvelt died at his home in Wyoming on Monday at age eighty. Born at Blauveltville NY on July 24, 1886 he moved to this state and worked as a blacksmith at Camp Grove and Lawn Ridge. He served in the Civil War after enlisting November 18, 1861 and married Emma Peters January 14, 1869 at Lawn Ridge. Four children survive: Mrs. Willis Hanthett Osceola H C Blau vett Osceola B H Blau vett and Mrs. W H Bishop Wyoming. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Congregational church conducted by Rev. William Moore.
