Crow Meadow Church and Local Lutheran Clergy in County History
The first Presbyterian church in the county arose from old east church teachings. William Mercer donated eighty acres for the church site, later moved to La Rose and rebuilt. The property remains a church farm named church eighty, with rent aiding church support. In August the church marked its seventieth anniversary, with a sermon by Dr. Cornelison. The German Lutheran church, led by Rev. William Rudolph, was built in 1898 at 3600 dollars, succeeding an 1872 church.
