The Wenona union fair returns for a second year October 1 to 4 on association grounds in Wenona. Ample accommodations include two amphitheatres a 100 foot dining hall a free check room and a ladies dressing room. W I Holdridge supervises the floral hall Samuel Dorsey oversees the amphitheatre John O Dent heads shows and licenses with no gambling. Benjamin Turner to police the grounds and railroads grant excursion rates. Premiums are liberal and cash payments promised. last year netted about $4000.

Illinois State Fair Special Train From Peoria To Ottawa
The Illinois State Fair will be held in Ottawa from September 17 to 34 inclusive. An extra C. & S. P. railroad train leaves Peoria at 7 p.m. reaching Ottawa at 10:40 p.m. It returns Ottawa 4:30 p.m. arriving Peoria 8:10 p.m. Round trip tickets are 1.25 regular rate, valid to return by Sept 34. Henry to Ottawa round trip is 2.20. Citizens can spend six hours on the grounds and return the same day.
