Magnolia Town Gossip and Notices From The Community
Don McMurtry of Chicago visits Magnolia friends during the first week. Various locals, visiting relatives, and travel notes populate the column, including Law's return from a two month vacation, Miss Badgley visiting from Missouri, and several others from Iowa, Illinois and Ohio. Lectures, church events, sales ads, and local movements fill the page, with a mix of births, sickness, and social gatherings. A dinner draw for lecture course seats is announced, and a sale notice for a Magnolia home stead appears alongside reports of church matters, school building bids, insurance payments, and plans for local improvements.
