The Chillicothe People’s Telephone Company held its first anniversary in the new building with a public open house from 2 to 4 pm. Frappes and carnations greeted visitors while a new switchboard operated, and officials including George Stumbaugh and H S Sterrett led festivities, banquet, and speeches praising service and equipment improvements.

Awful Accident Injures Man in Whitefield Township
Mahlon Sutton, frontier farmer west of Henry, was leading a rabbit hunt when a neighbor boy’s gun discharged. Shot tore through the left heel and ankle, necessitating amputation four inches above the joint. Sutton, weakened by shock, rallied and rests with plans to farm again using an artificial limb. He is married to Stella Applen and will relocate to his father in law’s quarter section once crops allow.

83rd Birthday Anniversary for Uncle Trim
The eighty third birthday anniversary of Uncle Trim was celebrated at his home with a splendid dinner prepared by his wife.
