Presbyterian Congregational Meeting and Resignation Notice
A called meeting of the congregation at the Presbyterian church on Thursday Nov 2 acted on Rev H W Burger resignation. The vote to dissolve the pastoral relation and join with Rev Burger in requesting Peoria Presbytery was unanimous. C E Burt elected delegate to Presbytery in Peoria Nov 6 with J A Williams and Hiram Hunter as alternates. Burger and family will visit Indiana and move to St Anthony Idaho later this month. The Henry wagon bridge undergoes re flooring costing over $2000, with oak planks laid diagonally. The dike is raised to prevent freshets. Wilbur Mann reports hog cholera on Magnolia township’s side of the river. his herd remains healthy for now, while neighbors ship hogs to Chicago. A correction notes a December issue misreported Al Van Ostrand’s death from a horse kick. the incident involved a broken jaw and slow recovery.
