Mrs Anne Bell Bouton, 61, longtime Putnam county resident, died April 27 1912 after apoplexy. Born June 2 1850 in Florid Illinois she was wife of James Bouton and mother of five. Funeral held at Magnolia M B Church with Rev M P Lackland officiating. Interment at Florida. Other notes mention fear of a short hay crop due to cold weather.

Death of 13 year old Boy Boyce and farewell to St Louis
Thomas F. Boyce aged 13 died in the home of David Dwyer after measles and complications. He was the ward of Mrs Sieminski who boarded with the family and had cared for him since adoption. Remains were sent to St Louis for funeral and interment. Mrs Sieminski plans to return soon for summer, embalming by Clifford Doran and shipment arranged. Also announced is the Marshall County Literary and Athletic association annual meet at Lacon on May 10 and field events at Stock's Ball Park on May 11 with preliminaries and contests in the school hall.
