Carp a boon to many says fish commission
The Illinois fish commission reports carp harvests and profits up to 20 million pounds annually, with fishermen earning 200000 to 500000 dollars a year from carp sales. The carp supports private ponds, feeding game fish, and is widely marketed across many states. An obituary for James William Boyd follows, detailing his life from Kentucky to Illinois, Florida, California, and final rites in Henry, with personal recollections and mournful tributes.
