Henry Chautauqua changes hour and voting contest grows

The Henry area announces evening chautauqua events now start at 8 45 p m to fit farmers later working hours. A big prize voting contest runs to July 27 with a $225 cash award. Henry contestants include Irene Hofer Della Klein and Inez Anderson as well as Mrs C M Lucas and Fay Ball with broad local support and ongoing subscription push.

Masons Dedicate Service Flag At Henry Lodge

Henry lodge, A F and A M held a dedicatory ceremony to honor members serving in the colors. The red white and blue flag bore the Masonic emblem and seven stars with names. program featured music, readings, and a social hour with ice cream and cake.

Children’s Day Observed At M. E. Church

Last Sunday the M E church Sunday school observed children day with decorations, songs, and prayers. A red star honor for Lawrence Latourette was added to the service flag, and Rev G E Tilton delivered a Roses address. A cradle roll addition by John Lloyd Jones Jr and a future cradle roll prayer ritual were announced alongside weekend services and local church notices.
