Interurban Line to Link Chillicothe and Peoria Approved
Stockholders in Chillicothe overwhelming approve immediate construction of a 15.26 mile interurban track from River View Park Peoria railway end to Santa Fe depot North Chillicothe at an estimated cost of 500000. Allen Engineering of Chicago reports the line will spur regional development and a loan package is nearly arranged with Mayor E A Mitchell chairing the committee.

Notorious con man among clergymen caught in Bloomington
Rev John Rogers, Braceville pastor, reports his son-in-law Leonard Leslie a bigamist and embezzler who fled with 1500 to 2500 dollars sewn in his clothes. Leslie, once with Salvation Army and known as BW J Murray in St Louis, proposed marriage to Rogers's daughter, then vanished to Minnesota after moving to a farm. Police expect him to be returned from Minnesota. Rogers asserts three marriages without proper divorce.
