Endurance race on Illinois River draws 88 boats
The Fifth Annual Endurance Race of the Illinois Valley Yacht Club ran 34 miles from Peoria to Henry on a calm upriver as 88 boats started and 27 finished. Pronto and Elizabeth M led time, with Kanawa winning the handicap prize owned by Peoria County State's Attorney Robert Scholes.
