A sharp north easter and heavy rain forced the postponement of the Peoria to Henry Webb handicap endurance race. Fourteen boats entered the special prize event with a $40 seventeen jewel gold watch donated by Tom Webb to the winner. Oregon of Henry led, with Glideola of Peoria second and Adds of Chillicothe third, as crews faced six foot waves and soaked, perilous conditions on Peoria Lake.
