Judge Evans Agreement Divides Henry City Council
In Henry Illinois a plan labeled Judge Evans Agreement aims to place 800 shares of Henry City Bridge Co stock in trust for C R B Smith to vote for a railroad bridge project across the Illinois River. The deal would fund a toll-free public highway with a wagon bridge, while a two year deadline to secure a free bridge is set, or ownership reverts to the city.
