Wreck Delays Freight Train on Peoria Branch
A long Rock Island freight on the Peoria branch derailed near Henry due to a broken flange on one wheel. Seventeen cars left the rails but stayed upright. the train uncoupled from the engine and continued to Sparland, with no injuries. Traffic blocked until 1 30 PM. service resumed after cars were re railed. The only loss was a ten hour delay.
