Freight rates have played a very small part in the rising cost of living. The average charge for hauling a ton of freight a mile is less than a cent. The freight on it has increased only 5 cents. Other transportation charges enter into the coat of the finished article carrying the wool to the mills and the cloth to the tailors but these other charges amount to but a few cents more.
In Marshall County Illinois a petition to sell real estate to pay debts is filed by Thomas Harris in a case involving the heirs of Mollie Horner Jesse McGee Lloyd McGee and others. Unknown defendants and heirs are summoned with details of the property description in Whitefield township and the court date set for April 5 1920 at Lacon. The notice warns all unknown and named parties to appear or plead by that date.
