Seelye 30th Anniversary Bid Adieu to Whitefield Friends
Mr and Mrs T A Seelye of Whitefield celebrated their thirtieth wedding anniversary with about forty couples at their home. Guests played leaflets with questions, drew blindfolded pictures, and signed keepsake leaflets. A later supper and pillow verse marked the occasion as the Seelyes prepare to move to Henry about March 1. Alphonso Seelye and Elizabeth Aukland were born in Peoria County Illinois and married in Whitefield on February 6 1878. They will retire from farming to a Henry home after 17 years on the John Harney farm and 13 years on the Whitefield farm with two children Thomas R Seelye and Ethel.
