Death of veteran shoe dealer Andrew Fiedler in Champaign
After a prolonged illness Andrew Fiedler, a longtime shoe merchant of Champaign, died Saturday at about 10, aged 68. Born in Bavaria on November 16 1884 he emigrated to America in youth and built a prominent local business with his son Otto. He married Anna Barbara Renz in 1864 and left a widow five children four sons and one daughter surviving along with four of his eight siblings. Funeral mass at St Marys Catholic Church Monday observed by Rev L Zumbachl with German and English tribute. Casket borne to Calvary cemetery by Julius Watercott Theodore Startwig Jank Bauer Joseph N Krenz Conrad Schwartz and Joseph Schick.

Dentist Dr P B Jacobs Dies After Long Illness
Dr Phenecel Bishop Jacobs a Henry dentist died after a paralytic stroke ended a four year struggle. He had opened a Henry office, married an adopted son, and was a charter Knights of Pythias member. The funeral will be at Aledo with lodge escort, and remarks honor his life.

John H. Deininger born January 28 1827 in Lebanon County Pennsylvania married Caroline Zimmerman in 1851. The couple moved to Florid Putnam County Minnesota late in life and raised eleven children with seven surviving.
