Despite short rehearsal time a capable amateur cast, led by manager Jo n O’Neill, delivered a warmhearted, well received performance. A farewell party for Harold Hall, planned by friends at his parents’ home, featured cake and refreshments as Harold prepares to move to Linden Lane.

Monrovia California reports a wet season with 20 inches of rain, January’s 10 inches setting records, and frost on five mornings. A week ago four inches of water fell in 12 hours causing railroad washouts and train delays as Southern Pacific operated no trains for over a week. Lydia Moffitt, born 1847 in Peoria County Illinois, died January 26, 1914 in Portland Oregon. her funeral was held at the ME church in Portland with services by Rev W D Benjamin. Burial took place in Northampton.
