Portrait Unveiling At John Swaney School Honors Founders
The Granville Echo reports the November 28 1913 portrait unveiling at John Swaney School. Mrs Swaney declined to speak and Uncle John spoke for her as the community celebrated the founders with speeches by Hunt Hawthorne and a presentation by Snapp. The event honored John Swaney and his wife for financing a 24 acre campus and cash gift that spurred consolidation of the school.
