Beneath the grand old trees on the lawn at the Williamn-Mer Titt country home more than eighty gathered Wednesday afternoon for the Ladies' Ald society meeting of the Christian church. Representatives from each town attended with guests from Geary Stib gen Joliet and LaPrairie. Games were played and refreshments served. Hostesses were Mrs Merritt Mrs Wee Bi Deck and Mrs Leslie Waughop. Mrs Merritt also showcased her flock of nearly four hundred Plymouth Rock chickens.
The Sunday union service in the Christian church drew a large audience. Rev. Van Leer led singing with the M. Es cholr and Rev. W. J. Carpenter delivered a forceful sermon urging baptism, repentance, and daily living aligned with Christian truth.
