Wenona Insane Man Taken to Watertown Asylum
Charles Layton of Wenona has been adjudged insane and taken to the asylum at Watertown. The Evans Township Old Settlers' association will hold its annual picnic on Wednesday Aug 28. Shipping in grain coal wood and mine props is booming by river. A Toluca constable swore an odd affidavit about being insulted by a prisoner. The Wyoming fair next week is billed as a major country fair and racing meet. Dalzell in Bureau county is named a new town with a 200 population and a planned growth to 2000, with the No7 coal shaft located there. The carp in the Lacon to Joliet area attract local buyers, fed by boiled potatoes as bait. Chicago will castor-bean to banish mosquitoes in city parks.
