Camp Grove News Suspends After One Year Struggles
The Camp Grove News has suspended after a brief existence of one year. Its editor George A. Moulton moves to Toulon for a permanent position. The Marshall county subscription list is sold to The Henry Republican, which will replace The News for prepaid subscribers and recruit Camp Grove correspondents to cover local news. The Henry Republican invites readers to opt out if they do not wish to continue with the new paper. The Sixteenth district congressional convention in Peoria and a Democratic convention in Lacon are noted, with talks of a potential candidate to oppose Graff. The campaign is expected to begin around September 15.
