Peoria Interurban Line To Start Soon Across Frontage
Frontage rights are being secured for the Peoria and Northern railway from Peoria up through Averyville and the narrows. Officials from Peoria Railway, Illinois Traction, and Peoria Park board met to secure right of way and widen narrow sections. The line would connect Bureau Junction with the Chicago, Ohioa and Peoria system, giving Peoria direct electric access to Chicago and St. Louis. A Rock Island suburban service may run on the Peoria Branch this summer using hourly gasoline-electric cars.

Cement Wall Proposal to Shield Henry City Dike
The Henry City Bridge Co proposes a 12 foot high cement wall along the west side of the dike from the wagon bridge to the first bridge, 465 feet, to resist high water. Gravel embankment widening four to five feet, gas pipe railing, and posts for safety. Estimated cost about $3,000. Peru recently built a similar wall with satisfactory results.

Runaway On Wagon Bridge Leaves I M Forbes Bruised
I M Forbes had a runaway last Friday afternoon when his wagon tongue, spliced by his son Ran kin, came apart on a bridge as an auto passed. The wagon jolted, Forbes was hurled and badly bruised but unhurt bones, with dislocated thumb and facial injuries. The horses and auto occupants escaped harm. no blame attached to them.

Mrs. Mary Dwyer died at her home March 30 aged 64 years 10 months. Funeral services were held at St Marys church Tiskilwa with burial in Lone Tree cemetery. Born in Tempile Braden Limerick Ireland she was mother of nine children and had two grandchildren.

School Election Set At City Hall For Saturday
