Services Held for Six Month Old Baby Scotty Green
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 at Lindbloom Funeral Home for Scotty William Green six months old son of Private Emory Royce Green and Mrs. Green of Henry. The infant, born March 17 1944 in Moline Illinois, died September 22 1944 at six months five days. He is survived by his parents a brother Emory Royce Green Jr maternal grandparents Mr and Mrs Scott Malone Henry and numerous aunts uncles and cousins. Rev George H Wilson pastor of the Henry Christian Church conducted the rites with special song Good Night and Good Morning. Burial was in Henry Cemetery. Private Green is stationed in Alabama and was home on emergency furlough for the funeral. Mrs Green is the former Margaret Malone.

War Chest workers plan service men packages
Henry Community War Chest members will meet next Tuesday evening at the Le dress to pack and address care packages for service men overseas. Later a countrybound shipment will follow. Mrs. B. Q. Mrs. Fred Smith Dies On Tracks In Peoria Area Tragedy
Funeral services were held for Olive Mae Tunis Smith of Henry after she was struck and killed by the Rock Island Rocket near Peoria Monday afternoon. The 1886 birth, Henry widow and mother to Robert Nash of Kewanee, was walking on railroad tracks when the northbound train hit her. Elmer Faust and Herman Eberiing witnessed the collision. coroner Diller held an inquest in Peoria County.
