A 23 year old Granville man Steven J. Pletsch, graduate geography student at Northern Illinois University, was found dead in the recreation room with a 175 pound weight across his throat. DeKalb authorities say he may have died as long as two days earlier. last contact with someone was Thursday night. An inquest is scheduled. he was born August 11 1948 in Spring Valley and survived by his parents and grandfather Frank Dippel. Services were held at Granville First Lutheran Church.
