Sentachwine High School Graduation Procession June 2 1967
The Sentachwine old Size Class 1967 at Senachwine High School will graduate June 2 1967 at 8 p.m. The ceremony includes a prelude by Mr Ed Say and a multiple musical program. Reverend Father Jewer will deliver the invocation and Dean Judy Wilson provides the farewell address. Presentation of diplomas by Principal Kas and Mr Brown. A reception follows. the event ends with benediction by Reverend Edward Emenhe. The next day June 3 the Honor's Day program and banquet at the municipal gym runs from 1 to 10 a.m. with events including porch pool. Relatives are invited.

At a Hennepin Village Board meeting, Harold Zenor announced that river bank steps will be rebuilt through the courtesy of J and L and local construction crews. Gilbert Tenozzi reported repairs to park playground equipment and new equipment ordered. The board discussed hiring a tree surgeon for nearby trees and noted air conditioning is being installed in the new village hall.

Four Henry Boys To Appear June 2
Four Henry youths have been served notices to appear in Putnam County Circuit Court at 2 p.m. June 2 to answer charges of battery and intent to damage property after pop bottles were dropped from a Rock Island overpass onto a moving freight train injuring conductor Bob Nordstrom. Rock Island Railroad detectives and sheriffs from Putnam and Marshall counties led the investigation.

Antique cars pass through Henry on trip to Peru
The Illinois Valley Antique Auto Club led a May 27 tour through Henry on route to Peru. The oldest car, a 1914 Ford, was driven by Mr. Shepard, club head and charter member. The group, founded about 13 years ago, has earlier visited Henry multiple times.

Railroad petitions ICC to close four Henry crossings
The Chicago Rock Island and Pacific Railway seeks ICC approval to close four grade crossings in Henry Town ship and to install automatic flashing signals at four others on Main Williams College and Lincoln streets. The plan moves to reduce hazards by removing low traffic crossings and upgrading high traffic crossings with modern signals. A hearing will be scheduled later.
