Memorial Day Services and Ladies' Aid Meeting Observed
Memorial Day services were held at the church with special music by a double quartet and solos by Elizabeth Peintner and Estella Kehlenbach. Rev. Pelton and Rev. Hastings delivered patriotic remarks and prayers. A floral rostrum decorated the scene. The Ladies’ Aid Society plans a June 6 meeting at Mrs. W. E. Frisbey’s home with various honors for members and guests.

Baccalaureate exercises for the graduating class of 1929 were held Sunday night at the Baptist church. Misses Blanche Osborne and Ellen Campbell played a match as the class and faculty, led by Principal L. E. Dennis and Charles Kitchell, took seats in front. Special music performed by a double quartet provided the program at Memorial.
