Memorial Sunday services were held at the Christian church with a large congregation. The church was decorated with flowers and the National emblem. a city choir performed. Dr. Paul L. Henry grade school earned third place in Class B at the county grade school track meet in Lacon. Robert Jones was the only local to place in all events he entered, winning the running broad jump and pole vault and taking third in the 50 yard dash. Washburn swept Class A and B events, Wenona finished second, Toluca third in Class A, with Toluca and Henry placing second and third in Class B.
