Fox snake discovered at Cedar Point home triggers scare
Excitement rose Monday afternoon at the Braun residence near Cedar Point when a large coiled fox snake appeared on the lawn. A nurse spotted it and Mrs Braun’s son quickly killed the reptile with bricks as it tried to flee. Experts later confirmed it was harmless fox snake, not a rattlesnake.

Hennepin Man Nels Anderson Dies at 75 in Home
Funeral services were held for Nels Anderson 75 at his Hennepin residence and M E church with Rev. H W Gillis in charge. Born in Sweden April 21 1861 he immigrated to the United States in 1888 and farmed near Hennepin after living in Oglesby. He is survived by his widow five daughters six grandchildren and multiple siblings in Minnesota Nebraska Denmark and Sweden.
