Senachwine High School 1965 Graduation Exercises Planned
The Henry Senachwine Aunting class of 1965 will hold its exercises on Friday May 28 at 8 p m in the high school auditorium. Edward Fay will direct a 7:30 to 8:00 pm prelude and processional followed by the national anthem. The program includes a commencement address by Russell Waldschmidt a valedictorian cement address by Mary Edwards and awards for PT A and Gamble Store scholarships. The Henry Post 323 American Legion and the mixed chorus will participate with the principal and faculty in the ceremony.

Henry Memorial Day Services Held by Henry Post 323
The Henry Memorial Day observance sponsored by Henry Post 323 American Legion will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday May 30 with a parade from the Legion building along Main Street Edward Street Watercott to Farm Bureau, then Front Street to the bridge for services. After the bridge ceremony the parade returns to the Legion and then proceeds by car to Henry City cemetery for further services led by Rev. Marshall Simpson. Legion members assemble at 1 30 p.m. to organize the parade.

Funeral services for Norton Brown 77 who died at his home May 21 1965 were held at 2 pm Monday at Green Funeral Home Rev Jerry Elmore officiated Mrs Lawrence Ransom presided at the organ Interment was in Henry City cemetery Pallbearers included Nelle Milanesi Tom Duke Glenn Feddericke Al Hart Born January 15 1888 in Hartford City Indiana he lived in Henry for many years He was married to Myrtle Carrier who survives They resided at 1198 Second Street Surviving with his wife are five sons Dora of Douglas Alaska Bruce Herbert and Ernest of Henry Norton Jr of Pleasantville New Jersey three daughters Edith Robertson Ethyl Palmer Edna and four great grandchildren An infant daughter two brothers and a sister preceded him in death He was a well known commercial fisherman and riverman and had worked as manager and consultant for several duck clubs in the area including the Beckford club for 13 years and Robert Gaylord's Long Slough club for 17 years He also worked with Charles Haffner's Chicago club the Big Springs Club for three years The family thanks friends for flowers cards and kindnesses during this time of sorrow Also note an unrelated item about an appendectomy for Elizabeth Neuhalfen Jr. at St Margaret's Hospital Spring Valley.
